We departed from the cruise ship and loaded on a train in Whittier for a 9 hour train ride to Denali. The train almost immediately passes through a 2 1/2 mile tunnel that is used by both the train and vehicles. The tunnel was built as part of the war effort as the Whittier Harbor does not freeze. 

The train cars are dome on the second floor with first floor of the car for dining. The kids had never been on a train before so all new experience.

We arrived in Denali just in time for our dinner show which was pretty good.
