7/26
Early day on a fishing charter out of Seward. We booked a trip with our daughter-n-law’s cousin who co-owns Saltwater Safari.
Just to get out of the Seward fjord was an hour and a half boat ride to open water. Beautiful scenery along the way with mountains right to ocean and glaciers high in the mountain side.
First up was fishing for Alaska Rock fish which is totally different then the Rock fish at home. Wendy out fished our group. Her Yellow Eye was approximately 50 years old. Lots of Puffins out where were fishing . They are quick to dive so tuff to get a picture while fishing.
Dusky fish
Pink Salmon
Total catch for the boat. We ended up with 7 Rock, 1 Sliver and 1 Pink Salmon, 8 Yellow Eye, 5 Tiger RockIn the afternoon we explored Seward and a very cool aquarium, Sea Life Center, the only aquarium in Alaska. Thanks to the Raschid’s we had free passes!!

Glacier outflow just outside of town. Amazing how much the glaciers are melting.
